I seem to get a fair bit of work at schools, this was last night, one of the problems of a lot of schools is the surrounding areas, commonly housing estates, so safe shots are at a premium, rimfires, and particularly the HMR often work well! 4 yesterday but there could have been 8 or more, safe shots are all important so several were refused. 3 together and another just as I was about to leave! Client (a Facilities company, whatever happened to school caretakers?) is well happy and want me to try for the rest. On that subject, this was a Central London school, they have 2 secur7 points

Lovely pups lads sure they’ll look well when matured bred for a job can’t beat a good coursing dog over a bull cross for all round work. I’ve got a handy coursing bred bitch here if she carries on until she’s 6 or 7 the way she’s running I’d be tempted to put a good bull x over her5 points

It was grand to be out this afternoon. The skies cleared and a brisk fresh wind set in. Man the squirrels are big around these parts this year! Took a nice pheasant home too. Shame there was no spark when the partridge lifted from my feet! That would of been a first! Only saw one woodcock. Doesn't seem to be many about this season so far. Oh and I fell in the dark this morning! It's bloody hurting now I can tell you! U.4 points

doing building at a lovely couples house. they moved there over the summer and a river runs right by it. we worked for the couple who lived there previous and the guy was adamant there was no mink. the new owner told me hed seen a black ferret 50 metres from his chickens. i told him it was a mink and looking around we found tracks by the wood shed . i went up that night and set 5 live traps around baited with makrel chunks. that was 9 days ago. me and my boss were plasterboarding today and the client came in with the mink in a trap and his lab behind. the lab had a sniff of the cag3 points

Immediate Rematch is official, lets hope they can get it in UK. Fury will be lighter, sharper and fitter for the rematch. Wilder went into the first fight thinking he was getting a Fury that was there for the taking and expected to KO him, this time hes going into the rematch knowing that Fury will be even better. Really looking forward to this, fair play to WBC for sanctioning it. Ring have also elevated Fury up to number 2 in there rankings, below Joshua but above Wilder. This is going to continue to be an eventful thread ?3 points

I have been to hospital today for further tests regarding my right eye and have had what is called a Slit Lamp retinal scan. The result of that is that I have a cataract in my left eye which I didn't know about and two different cataracts in my right eye which is really not great news BUT what an excuse for missing ? I’ve always said this and still stand by it. 95% of the time I can be certain, but that still leaves 5% for error, walshie made a very valid point I have had many times in the past.3 points

Since the pigs have been decimating the deer feed at one bait spot i have changed it around. just strapped a plastic 45 gallon drum to a tree. Only on the front facing side there is 5/6 holes drilled 1 1/4 inches in diameter this allows the grain to flow a bit out so the deer can feed and those damn pesky pigs cant rock up and eat it all in one go. i also put a lid over the hole i cut to prevent elk/moose getting their heads stuck in the barrel. i will get pics when i head down next.3 points

my first running dog cost £3 I was 9 or 10 and saved the money in a jam jar, nearly 50 years ago and still got one, but times and kids were different then, to many distractions now, kids( and men come to that) don't respect dogs enough, to easily sold and replaced.3 points

My lad recently did a bit of wild back-packing/camping and wanted a light but useful hatchet to carry in his pack. He ground the shape out an old axe head and made the handle from ash. Very Vikingesk in appearance. Fellah, I think you are on the wind-up,...nobody is as fecking foolish as you portray yourself...? You want a dog for an eight-year-old, for Christmas...but, you want it 'cheap as chips'...coz you have expenses..kids' bills', etc...? Most of us who breed, work dogs are only too willing to gift our surplus pups to genuine good, permanent, knowledgeable homes. Your posts, do not fill anyone with confidence that you would be a suitable candidate, for a good honest jukel.. Why not forget dogs, just get the kid an X box or some other toy,...a dog is a living, breathing critter2 points

This dog is the start of my line grand father and great grand father to the ones I have now are all half brother sister mating or double. Bred back to him he was the best digging dog I've ever seen work atb and had no reverse gear on any quarry had to be careful where and what I worked him on very wreck less style of work .2 points
