I know on old retired chap who makes stocks for a hobby . He has made some fine sticks with animal and bird heads which he carves himself. I have been asking for a fox head stick for ages and it was always, “Ive never done one”, I don’t think I could” . Anyway he turned up yesterday at this shoot where we go Loading with this stick , not bad for a first attempt at a fox . I am over the moon with it .5 points

I know a lot of posts on here are a humorous tongue in cheek coment but everyone has a right to have relationships with who they please. Although Harry and Megan are now on the firm's payroll, paid for by us the tax payer, it is just a job. I might look at a woman and think , "I'd like to knòck the back out of that" but that's as far as it would go. There is no way that I would comment on another man's wife or kids such as saying something like " cor , your Mrs is a right fat ole dog or Blimey your kid is a right thick mongo Lloyd". it's just plain wrong. The royals of today have been brough5 points

From all reports Harry's a top fella so I'll respect his judgement. Personally I Like a bit more meat on them. Cheers, D.4 points

this is a dog from the past a ugly bugger , undershot and like a bitch , as a pup he was runty and i couldn't give him away, in the end a mate of mine took him as a pet , until at 8 months he killed the cat , i was given him back , he went into hunt service with a mate , first season very hard , after that worked like a clock, turned out very good worker ...handsome is as handsome does4 points

No of course I don't mean mine........................... My shooting buddy and I went up to the range yesterday to set his new Impact up with the scope and get it zeroed. This was done at 25mt, which for an FAC .25, is very short but we were going out on the rats and roosting ferals to get used to the gun so this zero is fine and to be honest it is only half a mildot holdover for 65mt so okay for him to get used to the gun. We popped down to my rat perm, a dairy farm only five minutes from me and although I had my Impact with me, it is more about Chris finding his feet with his new3 points

Being in Gloucestershire and not a million miles from the Royals, I know people who know them . I also know a chap who served with Harry in wherever it was and by all accounts Harry and William for that matter are good lads . Harry in particular I think is a down to earth guy . I think he’s batting way over his average with Megan though . I personally don’t give a monkeys about the colour of her skin , someone should be judged by their character alone . And Harry who has character himself thinks she will make a good wife and mother I respect his judgment, it also helps that she is a stunner !!3 points

Tracer 210 variable. Best lamp I have used. Have light force 170 and 240 both good lamps but much prefer my 210 variable. Had a 170 dimmer that burst into flames while in use. Can still smell it now haha3 points

Me and a mate had a few hours out today ferreting, we tryd a few small warrens that looked well run and ended up with 8 good size rabbits, the ferrets worked great, i thought they might be in and out with it being their first outing in about 6 months but they were bang on, well happy with them and it was great to do a bit of ferreting again.2 points

Found more this year than I've ever found before. Somebody up the road I know got given a load of mushrooms by a woman he knows, he was bad for a week, recon it was one of them. They don't affect everybody apparently, not giving it a go to find out though. Them "Shaggy Ink Caps" look spot on condition GL still haven't seen any down here. We will be after the "Hedgehog Mushrooms" and the "Winter Chanterelles" now, having a job fitting it in with ferreting at the moment. Cheers Arry2 points

ball work, good workout for dogs. gets the heart and lungs working plus the fast twitch muscles that walking does not do.2 points

Good to see a few heading for the pan again . Must add I only found out this season that shaggy ink caps should not be consumed whit wine / alcohol as a reaction will occur , now I’ve eaten them many times over the years mainly at midday so havnt drunk beer wine with them app the reaction is not good for you so I guess I been very lucky ?2 points

Jobs change on May 1st you need to speak to the hunting office and get on the list it’s the same as any other job you will have to apply and if selected go on interviews. It’s very unlikely (not impossible) that you will walk straight into a terrierman job there aren’t many left in the UK now, best thing you can do is get your foot in the door as a kennelman for a few years get some experience of hunt service and if a job comes up go for it. Don’t know about your age but be ready for the job, driving licence, trailer licence, firearms, ATV certificate, chainsaw ticket some may even require yo2 points

Yes it will need to be sized but only do this once the stock is done if you want the stock to look like Marks hw77 once the stock is done leave it for a few days then wire wool it over to take the shine off this will give it a Matt Finnish then use bee,s wax to give it a little shine PAD once the stock is done size the plate to the stock DO NOT SIZE TO THE OLD PAD as it will be a different size as you will have sanded the stock down once you have done this you will need a bench grinder to shave it down to size place the back plate onto the stoc2 points

so you want to mix with a bunch of lurcher hating greyhound men ,lol be grand if you go and dont tell them youre a b*****d greyhound keeper ,lol...every man woman and child that owns a lurcher /whippet /or GOD FORBID A SAAAALUUUKIII are the enemy ...and believe me ,,they do look upon you as the enemy.....a lad was on here a while back looking for long nets suitable for netting hares ,,,next time an ad like that is on it would be nice if the person asking got NOOOO help whatsoever,as they rape the countryside of hares for their own sport and making sure us \\criminals\\ dont have any sport at2 points

Easy get caught out by these, I know GL posted pictures of one but thought I would post this. The wife rang just after she left for work saying theres some mushrooms growing in a old ladies garden that I do her shopping for. They look like some really nice mushrooms growing by her drive, growing in a bit of a strange spot for ordinary mushrooms. Thought nice feed here. I was a bit suspicious had a closer investigation. Just as well as I did "Yellow Stainer" poisonous and easily mistaken for "Field Mushroom" or "Horse Mushroom". Buy the way in a2 points
