  2. I fully agree with you regarding natural cycles, but man has attempted to wipe out bunny almost since they were brought here for food, I watched a program recently were they said there were now two new viruses wiping them out as well as mixy, round here the exploding badger population continues to wipe out more big buries every year so I do think mans influence is breaking natures cycle which is alarming as many animals depend on the rabbit for there survival and an eco system without its main food supply is pretty fecked, hope I ,m wrong ?

  8. Got asked to go up to my mates sheep farm to thin the rabbits out, managed 27 for 31 shots and I would of thought if I walked it again I could of shot the same again, no pics this time as I’ve been told to leave them for the foxes as this is just a pest control exercise and to get up and sort the foxes out before lambing ?

  11. That’s right terry but the world has changed there has been a population explosion more mouths to feed and less land to do it, so most farmers with arable land want no rabbits and are happy for someone to rifle the lot,the pressures on the rabbit population is much greater now than in the 1950s but like you say they are resilient but maybe we should all have a think what the future holds for are kind of hunting.

  13. This is my latest pup now 7 mths old, he is now as keen as any dog Ive owned . I take mine out from about three months too, every pup is different so their management can be too, just try to not let them over do it, and for the first 12 months I use the whippet type sparingly.

  22. Nicholas. The handle was set in a deer antler and epoxy resin in the end cap ( front end ) is finished off with pine pitch tar . The end cap ( crown of the antler I think it’s called ) is not finished yet I am looking out for a Saxon coin wich I will fit to the bottom of the handle and am currently working on a leather sheath. The knife was never ment to be a fancy seax ( some are real fancy) but more of a traditional work horse type knife that I could use . W.katchum .. it will be used for butchering large game boar/deer / mother in law .. joking aside I like to collect knifes/swords/sh

  26. There is one thing for sure pups learn nothing sitting in a kennels all day, just taking them along for the experience is priceless, I would never let young pup run rabbits, but watching listening taking in what's going on all good foundation for a future worker.

  36. I think it’s just one of those things that some people have been using for years and dare not stop using it in case they see a drop off in birds in certain areas but to be honest once we have used up the bucket we have we won’t be getting any more... I'm not completely writing off the merits some people may have seen using it but I personally haven’t seen enough of a reason to buy more. I think If you have your woods/ covers set up right so they are attractive to birds and dog birds in daily they’ll hang around.

The establishment protecting itself again unfortuately. 100 year secrecy order on Dunblane massacre 70 year secrecy on David Kelly autopsy 100 year secrecy order on serving Labour mps caught in operation Ore 100 year secrecy order on abdication of King Edward Vlll 100 year secrecy order on interrogation of Rudolf Hess no such thing as any transparency involving the establishment, one set of rules for them and a different set of rules for us .
