Now i was going to just go for the crows but had a wander around then the rain started so i jumped back into the tank and hit the fields all taken at zero range and the shot placement was spot on iv got to say iv had some top rifles off Jon Jon and some better than new all have been accurate . But this old girl is some thing else it puts my hw97 to shame and i had to think before i took the shots8 points

My granddad on my fathers side. he liked growing sweet peas. He enter a show once and the stuffy judges would not believe he grew them, so he made them take the judges and himself up to garden in their car. Cheers Arry6 points

I have a Russell bitch due to whelp 2 weeks today, she's a quality rabbiting/bushing bitch that i bred myself from years of hunt service Russell's. I took her to a beagle dog in hunt service as i want to keep a pup back for myself. These pups will make ideal bushing types. I have added a few photos of the bitch and dog and once born they will be added to the for sale section. PM for more details.5 points

Anybody ever wonered what the country would be like had we not invaded the middle East back in Blair's reign .They fled the conflicts ever since and we are left to deal with the backlash.5 points

Australians, we call them staghounds they are one of the most popular breeds over here, and make reasonable all rounders if you get the mix right. I think because our deerhounds have been bred for many generations primarily for hunting, is why they are still old school type here.5 points

Wearing my extreme summer camo I set off in the sun looking for vermin. First up was a treat, a magpie. Finding a young brood of magpie they were soon irradicated and soon after that Jess marked a tree as holding a squirrel. It made a run for it through the branches and the 410 spoke. Here is Jess with her reward. A speedy departing woodie gave for a fast shooting shot to end the session. U.4 points

During the late 1980s, we put the first cross Deerhound/Greyhounds back to sheepdog blooded lurchers,..they were smashing dogs,..far more versatile than the F1...4 points

So what about all the greyhound bitches that are brought to greyhound stud dogs ???????????? Are you suggesting the owner of the stud dog should drive around the country to each bitch, LOL. Stop End you're on a roll this weather giving out your wealth of knowledge. Yesterday you were telling the boys from the Shires all about THEIR badger cull, from your armchair in Northern Ireland and now you giving out information on breeding terriers when all you ever do is buy, sell and swap them. Why don't you tell the lad how to guide the stud dog into the bitch using a shotgun the same way yo4 points

It's typical when you have a suitable pairing. If you didn't want a litter the next door neighbours mangy mongrel dog would tip her through the kennel gate in 5 seconds and they would have 10 pups?3 points

Sound Andy. Read through the rest of the posts even the irritating bitchy ones. FFS. When lads like you are trying a good cross the bitches will be watched like a pervert. All bitches are different. So the time when they are right will be different. I had an old bitch that bled for 20+ days and same bitch was like Mother Earth as she would produce milk when not in pup too. If this bitch is kennelled with other dogs try her with them first as she'll be used to them and more likely to show how ready she is with them before trying an outside dog. The usual 10-14 days goes out the window with some3 points

The other great thing about our military is that the craic is savage, not everyone is a f***ing sissy about everything.......you can make a joke about absolutely howling things and nobody is getting all het up about it, which imho is British gallows humour at its finest and very much part of our nations male character.3 points

But that's your opinion ,and seeing as you are white and male it doesn't count ,in fact you are not entitled to an opinion as you having an opinion would justify colonialism ,imperialism ,and thousands of years of male subjection and tyranny of women ..so keep quiet ...#,me too @equality #no freedom for hate speech #,death to the white male oppressor3 points

out with a mid wales pack last season there was a lad with wat locals fell about laughing at wat they called a poodle ? any way after pulling out the hound that tried digging it self in a russel was entered kept finding but couldn't stick it was removed and a black dog entered same again ,so they said all laughing give the poodle a go ? well the Northumberland poodle found and stuck and turned a few heads ,so if theres anyone on here from a certain mid wales hunt they will surely remember this, and vouch for it ? not all beddys are usless3 points

In my own honest opinion you will be hard pressed to find a line going back to his early stuff which still retains the size and build of what I saw originally .Many claim to have it but on inspection not quite what they should be just big pats .There's been a lot written here about Nuttals early stuff and what he has today being world's apart and I would agree it is .I lost loads of scanned pics on photobucket when they f****d it up or I'd put up what I know to be his early stuff . Perhaps Glyn has pics of what he started with he might share .3 points

. Like you have said they make great all rounders and that's what I like about them, I don't think they was ever bred to work small pipes but large rock piles on the fells and the border lands, And as all round vermin dogs. Quite a few are used on brock, Fox, pig in Europe and do well, if folk breed from the best working stock and not just for ££the bedlington would be in a better place. It's not the breeds fault but the breeders. Atvb.3 points

Ozzy wrote this nearly 50yrs ago and it's still very relevant today. The words he sings are spot on. And you don't have to be Into rock music to appreciate the song. This modern video over the song couldn't be better.3 points

Everyday , as I walk into work , there is a little wall piece , with a list of battles on it. Normandy, Arnhem, Sicily, Egypt ,Iraq , Afghanistan, but my eyes are always drawn to one line on it . “Longden, 11th June 82, 23 dead” The words , “follow me lads , I’m f***ing bulletproof “ are written into airborne folklore3 points

Great pics and thread. this is a photo of my Granduncle, in O'Connell Street Dublin, must have been around the 1920's shortly after we got our independence. Nelson's Pillar behind, which is no longer there after being blown up in the 1960's3 points
