  2. Well after very little use of my airguns last year, I made my mind up to sell the Airwolf & the Rapid, I had a trip out with jimmy & si to the local range the last time si was up north, within 10 minutes I was bored stiff shooting the pcp at the targets, so I put the guns away, I went to the rfd in Newcastle on Saturday afternoon & bought a nice new prosport in .22 walnut & came home & listed the pcp’s for sale, they both sold after a few timewasters & that’s the end of them, I instantly feel better about shooting again, using skill and a nice springer, now I just need

  4. Right, as there have been a few threads where the problems in dear old Blighty have been the subject of conversation it has obviously been on my mind....... And I have come to a conclusion....... SALAD !! i was in a little Italian coffee shop in darkest Clerkenwell in dear old London Town today waiting for my sausage sandwich and cup of tea..........and as I waited a constant stream of bearded skinny metro sexual types, sporting beards that had more work put into them than the Sistine chapel and talking in that f***ing annoying voice that always sounds happy and enthusiastic abo

Here’s an old pic of Sal 3/4 dh grey out of BDs stuff ....I knocked some amount of gear over with that bitch ....she was a decent honest bitch that loved her graft ....PTB s TRigger was put over her that produced Tigger he will be about 8-9 months in that pic ...This is the dog I strive to replicate what an animal and produced some very good stuff and everything we run now a days goes back to him with some tight breeding ....Razor was put over his daughter that produced some special animals and we are waiting for another bitch out of him out of a brother and sister mating Tigger x Rosie to be

  10. I have those moments Viz. I'm still having one to be honest. Don't get me wrong, I love the r10. I've never had a pcp that fits so well but it's lifeless. I had the same feelings about the 100 and the s410. If I was a pest controller and it was my living then it would be a tool but it's a hobby and you can't beat the feeling of clicking with a Springer. ??

You may well of added the wrong bit , what the fcuk is he going to do if yourve added an arm instead of a leg , he’s already struggling to stay upright and yourve lumbered the poor sod with an extra arm ...no no no , have respect for disabled right wing looneys and keep your .58 .. he or she might well have undergone transgender procedure that they waited years for and all of a sudden thereve got there kno

  16. " Research and campaign group Hope Not Hate said that according to its count, 27 people were arrested or convicted of far-right inspired offences during 2017. " What constitutes a far-right offence? I'm struggling with that one too. It shows that, of the total 7,631 people referred to Prevent in 2015-16, 65% (4,997) were suspected of Islamist extremism and 10% (759) of right-wing extremism. Okay, so far we have... Around a third of all those flagged were deemed to need no further action, Which leaves us with 506. half were passed on to alterna

  18. Think there’s a difference between picking runs and not bothering at all. If there’s a rabbit sat a couple of feet from cover and my dog is way off then I wouldn’t expect him or even want him to go full throttle. He will always stalk though. If you think there is a slight chance the dog could catch and he doesn’t run, then this is normally where dog and owner fall out! I would always want a dog to run any rabbit I choose on the lamp and I get most mine from either rabbit errors at the hedge or my dog going in and grabbing them just inside the hedge. Daytime he will watch some rabbi

  19. As a few of you know, I am wanting a sub 12 .22 for ratting in some new perms we have picked up and the Impact fac is a little too much. The weeks have passed by while I have been thinking about which one to go for and sometimes going round in circles but I have narrowed it down to two guns. Up until a few days ago, I very nearly bought a sub 12 Impact with both .177 and .22 barrels, just 6 months old and still in warranty but £1500 is a lot of money for a retired ole tart like me so despite it eating at my head, I have put that to one side (I think I have anyway). 20. I mean think about it, back in the days of Richard the lion heart or Henry the Eighth they would sit down to gargantuan feasts of everybtype of Roast meat and then f**k every tart in sight and cut a bloody swathe wherever they went...... Later on the lords would hold giant shooting days, sit down and eat a whole Red stag then trot off to give Jonny foreigner a good kicking...... Lad full to the brim of bully beef stormed up the beaches of Normandy to deliver death and destruction to the hun..... Grim faced men who ate nothing but steak and chips on a Tuesday swam 8000 miles to t

  24. I rehomed this black dog that was found in woods with no one coming forward for him. Some university lecturers found him and then put him up for a free home after he went for their Irish Terrier It's this dog that got me properly interested in digging after he was subsequently rehomed and did well there. 21 digs before he was sadly killed in a kennel accident Cracking dog

Fry’s my brain 9/10 same dog this year at 6 done 64 in a night she’s defo a marmite dog but she’s never ever failed to put something in the freezer. She’s a very intelligent dog and a canny runner in full flight .. but she’s never had a trip to vet and will probably do big bags till the age of 10. Most would of got rid years ago but how can you when she’s put so much to bed in front of dogs that will run through brick walls so to speak and

  34. Wouldn't it be a pleasant change to have some decent threads from our American friends about actual days out working their dogs on quarry over there, rather than the name calling, pedigree chasing and all the usual bullshit we are used to on THL.You never know maybe lads over this side of the pond will gain respect for your dogs and the quarry they work.Just a thought

Three of us went ferreting today as we are still trying to get plenty done while we still can.The first hedge we ferreted was hard to net as it was on a bank side and had not been done by us before. We got that done by 1300 and had 5 rabbits peter and ian spooked a fox from up a tree covered in ivy which just walked off ..We then had a dinner break and went a few miles away to finish a hedgerow we never got finished last week.On entering the field we saw where the farmer said some poachers had been stuck in a 4x4 while riding round. They were probably after the deer and hares thats why he w

  37. It was a tricky read in the paper and I bet that most would just skim over it but it didn't sit well and then BB called it out too. My maths is nothing more than a pocket calculator and I'm sure that someone could fact check it but a handful of people in a nation of nearly 70 million doesn't strike me as a worthy use of news ink and it practically ignores the other 90% of radicals. Most know my views both religious and political but I can't stand a b*llsh*tt*r and that was some next level sh*te! We all know how these articles are slanted but it was surprising to find such an extr

  42. I'd say 40 pounds for me that I actually harvested. I've got on bigger with the dogs but they just drag the terrier in water over their head and they lose them most every time then..

  43. I can only tell you on our side of the pond a coon is much more of a formidable opponent than fox. Because our fox in America is puny (tiny) and there is coon reported over 50+ pounds here. I've only dug a few fox because I will dig to whatever my dogs find enter and stay too but I'm not really in pursuit of fox. but, at any rate, that has been my experience..

  44. No sir, I have never needed a tracking collar, I work rigorously on recall with each dog as a pup to adulthood. I simply drop them on Creek banks, river bottoms, brush pile, junk piles, drifts, etc and they find and work their own quarry. I just simply expose them to the woods and follow them down the creeks, they do the rest with exception of me digging to them .
