Earlier this year, over a month ago so before the leaves came out, I thought I could hear the "plaintive mew" of a buzzard which was then being answered by another. I looked up, expecting to see one circling over the top of the wood, but couldn't see one. I heard the call again so looked up again and still no buzzard. The only bird I could see was a jay. Then, while watching it, I saw it open its mouth and let out the buzzard call! I've since seen this pair of jays doing the same thing several times. I looked it up online and several other people have said they'd witnessed it too.7 points

Greenhouse floor done, just got to do the potting room tomorrow, seen some lads working on a shed on my way home that were struggling to change a flat tyre on their van, so stopped to give them a hand, when I’d got them away one of them said he didn’t have any cash on him, so I said it’s ok I didn’t stop to get paid, he then said they have got 150kg of lead flashing if I want to pick it up tomorrow, bonus, it pays to be nice7 points

Just have to stay within the law mate and go on your own it doesn't look good with multiple dogs/folk just get noticed to easily and they get called to many cars walkers about now etc even when your doing nothing wrong or on permission etc.. I walk past farmers with lurcher off lead at my side through sheep n they don't say nothing or I'll even wave sometimes they'll wave back or look at me n think who the feck is that but don't bother me and I'll have a spaniel with me but point is the dogs steady n controlled n I'm not big or anything like that or intimidating just normal I don't wear c5 points

Bet there is a few on here that can remember being dragged along with mother to local hall to pick up Orange juice in medicine bottle with the measurements on the side of the bottle. Think it was a ration card thing. I remember also the Pop van selling Squash mainly Orange but Gran bought a new flavour Pineapple and Grapefruit I thought I was in heaven when I first tasted that. How things have changed from the days we had f**k all. Cheers Arry4 points

I don’t know how you chaps feel but since our Queen passed the country’s in the United Kingdom have gone to the wall and things don’t seem to be getting any better, when Queen Elizabeth died the monarchy died for me, when I hear the news and I hear the Queen this and the Queen that and they are referring to Camilla I just can’t accept her as the Queen she is King Charles wife and that’s that as far as I’m concerned but who am i.3 points

Many years ago when I was about 18 , I trained at a gym over the summer that was cutting edge for its time , but that time unfortunately was 1935 , it was a proper dump , riddled with asbestos , but was the best gym around with proper trainers , not the useless type you see today . Their circuit classes were the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced in paid for fitness and brutal , they stopped when you finished . Proper old school lifts, concrete block carry’s , shuttle runs , stair sprints , horrific , many’s the time I spewed in my mouth . It was extremely popular with female clientele , day3 points

Police have to be seeing to be doing something so they have to respond but as for people getting watched etc I'd be very surprised they would spend money and resources on such things, the CPS won't even give permission to convict known drug dealers unless there's guarantees and won't risk mistakes there Yes if people are stupid enough to go driving land and causing damage and giving great etc to farmers they deserve all they get and if others are unlucky enough to get bother doing the right thing it is what it and you just have to stay within the law the best way you can.3 points

Does them all at once , sometimes it can struggle and you get a false one but it’s pretty spot on tbh3 points

And brains And as you know they can be pushed to much to.. That Mia wasn't the fastest but once the hare was up if there was a gate dyke gulley or whatever especially gate she was always heading to that first before the going to the hare actually going horizontal to it as tho over taking it as she just knew n got into there heads cutting them off straight away and getting herself between that n the quarry then into em n ran within herself accordingly while still in-between all escape routes when poss she had a great style to watch n loved the strong ones a very good honest work hors3 points

Egg production is ramping up, todays lot; Black Leghorn, Irish Hennie, quail and call duck . These won’t be picking at my peas and beans when I move them outdoors from the greenhouse ! I’ll just take the breasts off and the rest can go in the compost bin ! Cheers.3 points

Had an hour and half down the wood this morning practicing and banded a small frame up in bought off Ebay a wile back with some precise 75 bands a frame i have hardly ever used and was thinking of giving it my youngest grandson when he is 13 in a few months. I started hitting the target a small plastic bottle consistently better than I was with my wasp apex so he might be getting a different catty for his birthday.3 points

Remember Alpine pop well we had it delivered every Saturday dandelion and burdock being my favourite and the lad who delivered the pop also sold a bit of hooky gear as well to top his money up. Also they had a depot and factory in Eastwood in Rotherham in the 70s that every kid in the area used to raid most nights when it got dark early in the winter me included.2 points

They suited me mate and like I've said I've never considered myself a coursing man tbh though most of the lurchers I've owned in my lifetime have been able to catch hare's obviously not in the numbers some of these coursing saluki hybrids have and years ago i had a decent bitch bred down from the two dogs in my profile pic to a fx saluki greyhound I owned out of Ginger French's Luke that took a variety of edible quarry and killed 3 out of 3 on the land around six mile bottom one morning on a day out with some London lads at the beginning of February though tbh after that day and a few more aft2 points

Try Rosehip chaps it comes out looking like a rose very light refreshing and easy to drink and apparently good for arthritis, when I was on the railway I used to harvest all the hedgerows lineside and made a multitude of wines.2 points
