In the last two week's two pensioners have been attacked in the ex mining villages of Maltby and Thurcroft nr Rotherham . The first incident all caught on camera was when an old chap was using the laundrette when a youth tried robbing him and grabbing a bag out of his hand . The second more serious incident at a park in Thurcroft was when a 72 year old chap asked a 34 year old man to pick some rubbish up he had chucked down the 34 year old then sett about him kicking him in the ribs and would have killed him if it wasn't for the brave intervention of a 14 year old lad who saw the incident. Depending on where the collar is on the dogs neck...the readings can change ..I like to break through just behind the dog,backfill the tube..dogs done it's job properly and the quarry should be Infront of you ready to be despatched..when your right on top of the dog..the quarry will try it's best to push past and that's when most of the damage is done to the dog imo

Iv'e been working a russell bitch like that for the last few years,only dug her once and that was a single holer pulled out rabbit hole affair and even then she was in and out and it was only a foot and on a shoot with the keeper there so i dug it. I bought a sharp tooth fork 2 or 3 years ago and have never used it in the field and my bitch has a real knack at getting them to bolt and so far we haven't knowingly left one behind to ground because it wouldn't bolt and rattled one out from a 100 yard pipe just last week that the keeper rolled nicely..I do love a dig don't get me wrong but a bolt

My brother has just gave up pigeon racing, he’s just going to keep a few tumblers and high flyers. There used to be two NGRC greyhound tracks in Newcastle, now there is just one. There was about six flapping tracks in the area , now just one. Shame these working mens sports are dying out. Cheers.

Had couple Russell’s long ago both bayers and could not fault them. But not only were they good digging dogs they were amazing ferreting bushing dogs and neither dropped to ground on rabbits. They just seemed sensible dogs. Got black pup from good stock it’s was rubbish. Got a Lakeland absolutely useless apart wanting to fight. Pain in arse
