  1. Past hour
  2. I always feel for them poor individuals who have lost their lives mostly women in the past who handled work clothes from their partners that was covered in asbestos dust and unbeknowing to them they were handling their death centance in washing their work clothes.
  3. I always try to mask up in lofts, sometimes I forget and fckin hell can you feel it rest of the day
  4. Same here mate some of the shitty and dusty places I have worked the worst being a factory called Toyoda Gosie in Rotherham that made rubber seals for the motor car industry and every time I get a chest infection I think feck me has my past working life come back to bite me in the arse with a lung disease.
  5. Forgot the owners name now mate. I know they got a big fine just before I started with them as a lad got killed on one of their job's due to negligence. I had months on a job on the big Boots complex in Nottingham when they gutted the big office site.
  6. Funny ain't it how we become more concerned for our health as we get older...I bet when you were young working down the pit you just cracked on.... This job I do now we sometimes have to go in lofts and remove insulation...I won't even pop me head in now without my breathing gear on....at one time I would have just cracked on
  7. Why am I not surprised they were cowboys...from my home town..lol
  8. The firm I was offered to learn burning and to go on the asbestos was from Mansfield called De Tech Environmental a bunch of cowboys tbh I did not stay long and went back into construction. The money for working on asbestos removal was a joke with this firm in the 90s and a lot of their work was working away and the money was shite for working away.

  10. Who did ya work for on demo mate ,, our paths must have crossed at some point
  11. I have always wondered what the health issues are with welding though i would think with modern masks and breathing aids it would be limited. I remember years ago when i worked on demolition and I had the chance to be taught oxytetracycline burning but declined as every so often the burners had to have blood tests to see if there was lead in the blood due to fumes breathed in.
  12. Hello Mitch old chum. It's been a while since I was last here. See they haven't thrown you off this forum for your unvarnished and honest airgun reviews then! I think a lot of us have had more than our share of woes and upheavals and things do change for lots of us. Mark here is going through his health worries, I've had failing eyesight and couldn't see a bloody thing properly to keep shooting. It's the same with lots of us older chaps who aren't getting younger. Maybe some of the lads of yesterday have sold their guns and taken up something else? And there are one or

  16. In all seriousness mate, I was having this conversation with my pal the other day and we both concluded they would have rather been dead than getting handed over to the Russian forces……they won’t let them c**ts die for a long time, and they know they are well f****d. These scum bags were just unlucky enough to be taken alive and by f**k are they going to rue the day…..good !
  17. Maybe my expectations were too high? But it does seem odd.
  18. I suppose all those dirty animals are brave martyrs for Allah until some big horrible SPETSNAZ c**t is carving your ear lugs off with a blunt knife ! Lol
  19. Been a few times, twice at comp, Fent joined us for the big platter amazing , bud came when we were civilised and had a plate each lol
  20. They don't, it's all a bit strange.
  21. Lapwing eggs laid by hares in lapwings nests disguised as hares forms
  22. Brain is wired , slightly light headed , mild tiredness in the day. Fairly easy week welding small stuff at the bench which helps. Tea coffee and lots of water. I feel like I could keep going tbh, but I won't, I may see how I feel next week . A colleague in work does two days every week for a few months, but he eats a lot of shite the other five days...
  23. I've only just seen this ... they hardly seem the die for the glory of Allah and all that type do they ?
  24. It suits me , there's so many avenues and industries. Different processes and materials, ships, oil and gas, food process, aerospace car restoration , film sets , all sorts. I avoid cars , like mchull says not easy, either rust paint or paper thin ,normally all of the above. The trades around welding are worth looking at too, platers, fitters, fabricators, inspectors , commissioning engineers, cad. I'll be looking for an avenue off the tools in a year or two, had enough or the light, eyes aren't what they were five years ago, I enjoy some of what I do more the fitting side of late, especially
