Not been doing much lately, just the odd bit of fishing & trying to knock the lurcher into some sort of shape ready for the upcoming season with some fitness & obedience training.
My beddy/whippet is 3 now, and what's become apparent is that he's severely lacking in the brain department! He still seems very puppyish and tends to overlook things in his excitement.
Well this upcoming season is his final chance as my first choice rabbiting dog. He needs to calm down when in the field & start taking direction from me when he's out. He won't be going anywhere, but if he hasn't shown marked improvement by seasons close, I will be looking to replace him with something else.
After being so frustrated by his lack of intelligence, I think my next choice will deffo have a healthy splash of collie somewhere in the mix....
