A few of my egg layers

Ive kept leghorns for eggs, mine layed like machines mate, ive still got one and at 5 yerars old it still lays well! I kept white leghorns, both large and bantam, not much difference in size of egg either, nice white eggs too!

nice chooks mate but i think i prefer the slightly prehistoric looking one lol ;) .

 

They are my first choice also but as you probably know they aren't the best of layers this time of year :D She is only in there as she can't be penned with any other hens at the minute (even stags) but she grew up with the leg horns and tolerates them ;)

They pump the eggs out i only have a quartet but get three eggs every day they out lay most of the red hen strains i have seen.

wow that bird looks ready plucked and ready for a fight .lol

 

iv got a black rock and 3 goldlines and a little white pekin and the only one thats laying is the pekin .

 

funny how the smallest does better than the rest.
