minshaw pups

Recommended Posts

pups are £400 each cant put any pics on as i dont know how to get them on will keep trying though.

i dont mean to offend but how can you justify 400 pound for a pup that has bearly left the teat. dont get me wrong i dont mean to cause an argument, maybe i just need educating about the minshaw lurcher. some look like saluki based coursing dogs and some look like bullx lamping dogs is there a difference in strain or is it just pot luck how they turn out.

thankyou.

£400 is a joke, they're lurchers nothing more nothing less.

seems to me chubs , you just want an argument, didn't you sell your litter of whippet pups for £300 EACH , im not knocking your pups in fact they looked well reared and a credit to ya. and if i remember your add corectly . it did say they were out of nothing special, just little pot filling dogs. wich agian is your choise, but some folk like dogs that have a pedagree full of top lurchers that will fill a car boot full of game rather than a cooking pot. ;)

i bet if i look at your threads its still there ;)

THE £400 PRICE TAG IS UPTO THE OWNER

IF THE PERSON WHO BUYS ONE IS HAPPY THERES NOW BOTHER

THINK IT STOPS PEOPLE BUYING ONE THEN HAVING IT BACK

UP FOR SALE WEEKS OR MTHS AFTER

IF YOU BUYONE YOU WOULD BE GENUINE PERSON WHO WANTS WHAT IT SAYS

I fear people will be buying Minshaw dogs to make money and not for the love of running them is going to be a common occurance once the Minshaw book comes out! Which IMO is not a good thing! Are the parents tried and tested? or just bred out of tried and tested dogs which IMO makes a big difference. I dont think £400 is stupid money compared to what is asked for coursing dogs however commercialising dogs is never a good thing for any type of dogs!

Joe,i totally agree with you ;) ,since Vic Minshaw himself left behind his lamping strain back in 93/94 then myself and one or two die hards perceived to carry on what he had started, litters were very few and far between as you very well know and only the lads who had kept these types were the ones to get dogs from these litters which did pop up occasionally and were continued to be ran to the hilt,in general the genepool was small but the quality was there, now for better or imo i fear worse things are slowly but surely beginning to wain.I know of one or two already attempting to make £££ from Minshaw bred dogs and in truth the dogs they are breeding from have done nothing although they are bred superbly.I fear that the strain is going to have serious setbacks if things aren't kept "tight" but there's not alot i can do to prevent that :( .I along with some of the proper lads will just keep on doing what we have always done with our Minshaw's...run em and run em hard :ninja: .All the best Andy.

i agree with joe ox and ASD about theses pups but at the end of the day if people are prepared to pay it, its up to them , on the line of what joe ox said you have to look no further than hancock lurchers which are now as some say comercially bred, but i have a bitch out of hancock strain and she is a brilliant alround bitch, i would say to anyone wanting to pay good money for a good dog see if ASD has bred any pups as his dogs are exceptional and are worked hard as they say tools for the job.
