Hi mate

Get yourself down to Henley in Arden market every wednesday at 11am, loads of choice there????

Brown Hi Line hens vaccinated fetch about £2 each and are excellent for eggs.............

Hybrid hens will lay you the most eggs, as for best for meat? It depends what you mean "best"
Best tasting? or best meat to bone ratio? or even fastest to the table?

Heres a couple of poultry forums I can reccomend
Practical Poultry
The Poultry Keeper
