Yeppers. I'd spotted that too ~ only I guessed we weren'r 'supposed to' so I was being politic ;) That now out, I have to admit; There really appears to be absolutely nothing untoward about the bugger at all.

I wonder if that's the one that got reported when I was out with Lee Evens and the posse? We were called to some front garden, doen a lane. Abberrant or foreign LTT. We scrutanised every tit down there. Bugger all. Might have been Duckwing who put that call in! :D

:icon_eek: You're damn right too, DW! It is indeed the nest - feathers show that. Genetic abberation in that bird then, eh? And, I suppose, when the rain gets down that chimeny and chills the brood, bang goes that gene! Nature for ye.

Lovely shots of lovely birds, el Fish :good: I Think I see a fair few 'Creeps over here. Eyes aren't what they were and I can't be doing with carrying the glass like I used to do. Seldom have time to stand, wait and hope to see either.

Watch those Tit Flocks and bring us good one's of a Lesser and I'll bear a grudge For Ever!

Now; ye quite sure, aren't ye, that it wasn't a spanish Three Toed ..... :hmm:

No, actually, ye wouldn't have done, mate. My cock up. It's actually a Short Toed I was thinking of. UK had one a couple of years or so back. Caused quite a storm.

Lesser Spotted, mush! Woodpecker. The Pied Moth of the woodlands :good: Always been a favourite of mine

Aha, now i'm with you :victory:

Read up in my little bird book, the short toed apparently is vacant from this island (but who knows, with warming and all?), seems there is very little to distinguish between the two.

We gots all sorts of woodies here, both greater and lesser and greens, but they are a bit flighty, i will see what i can do :thumbs-up:

:hmm:Think I did, mate. Let's just say I saw small congregations of 'Song Thrushes' where such congregations shouldn't have been. But I no longer have a 'scope and don't tend to carry my bin's around with me. Too slight for FieldFares - which I've pretty well positively made here. But my eyes aren't what they used to be and I'm not claiming distant sillouettes as recorded Redwings.
