Is there point?

Depends on if you are hunting rabbits then they may become 'lamp shy' which is occurs if they are lamped alot. Foxs can also become 'lamp shy', You can also use a filter befor the rabbits are 'lamp shy' Pref a red one because When a rabbits is illuminated with the red glow the cant see red for some reason so this prevents them becoming from becoming 'lamp shy'

But if it was me I would defiantly buy a filter. Pref a red one and a green one don't no why but just had good results with these 2.

Cheers

amber filters work well on foxes with very little difference to actual beam distance the red works well on both dont be putting holes into the filter the whole point is to difuse the light not enhance it if you cant kill the animal before it gets out of range of the beam you need a new set up be it dog or gun we normally find the target with the filter on and run them on the white light,a filter has its uses and i would suggest you get one in any case :victory:
