a fancy catapult may look good and pricy , and i can,t fathom out peoples mentality they love paying out money , when a home made ash Y is all you need with shrink tubing on the handle , the square rubber for a couple pounds. and it is every bit as lethal , as any over priced buffalo horn . and it is only as good as the man using it . rant over get to it.

I'm pretty new to this as I've only ever used a Black Widow as a kid but with the price of Shot A.T.M I decided to give it a go. :icon_eek:

Buffalo Catties aren't neccesarily expensive, I've just received one from Thailand (eBay). The band can only be described as a slightly thicker elastic band (office use only?) but the forks are pretty good, they definately dont look like the one's you'd pay a fortune for over here but I think they'll definately be up to the task. I've also ordered a metre of 1/4" black rubber to replace the junk on it origionally & a box of 200 9.5mm hardened steel BB's so I'm all in for about £15 inc. postage.

I'm still waiting for delivery on the decent bands so when I get it up n running I'll let ya know if it takes a hammering

go cut your own i like the cup type forks not the y type best to cut them out of a ash or holly tree then get some leather cut into two strips and tie one on each fork like a pair of ears then buy some 1/4 inch elastic of bellsofhythe.com then put the elastic through the leather ears and tie tight then attach a decent size leather for a pouch for your chosen ammo to go in personaly my chosen ammo is a nice round stone found by pebal beaches by rivers etc why pay lots of money for things when you can get better for moreorless nothing
