Guest trev
I was born into them, my da had them and his da before him, everything i know i got from the old man and a little bit of common sense, i agree with you max that every days a learning day and you will never know enough with the greyhounds. Im lucky enough to have lived close to the late great Gay Mc Kenna and spent some time there and know his son extremly well, one thing he told me when i was a kid was he trained a few derby winners and fed them all on the same diet, fresh meat, brown bread and veg.Ive followed this rule from then on in and have to agree with him its the best way to feed, ive since looked further into this method but its alot easier now, the oldman always fed the same, only two months ago he heard about this new complete food for greyhounds called record breaker, he gave it a try and for the first time in his life left out the usual diet, he has since converted back lol. Sorry for rambling off the subject lads.Tarmac ive been around dogs since i was a kid, ive had some good ones and some bad ones and thats all part and parcell of the game, ive possibly one of the best ive ever owned on my yard at the moment, he is only young but he going to be top class. If i can help ye out in anyway shape or form let me know and i will do what i can. I get the same buzz when i get a winner today as i did my first ever many years ago. Is this the bitch your talking about max??? Anti quarry: http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?i=7155 If so she was very well bred. Heres a ped of dashing oak another decent dog. http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?d=dashing+oak Had a decent trial stake winner out of dashing oak, gave her to my mate to breed a litter of saluki lurchers from, he bred her to a good son of gazza and she threw some top class dogs for this side of the pond. Guest trev
I know he schooled them and one was going well for him, not sure what happened after that as i havent spoke to him in a good while. This is how they were bred: http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?d=BALLYBRACK+PIE I own her and she is o.k, no world beater but id expect her to win next time out, she has some good early, she got faught bad in a qualifying trial a couple of weeks ago which hasnt helped her. The reason i got them was i had a dog called scar face who was by spirial nikita out of the same dam and thought they might cross well. http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?i=479178 I had the wog for the first 3 races he had when i had a falling out with the owners, there fault not mine, they refused 13k sterling after his third race, i told them to sell him and they wouldnt listen. His brother was just short of being open class although he had some real good clocks at shelbourne etc. http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?i=524412
Guest trev
Im in dublin max and do all my racing at shelbourne and harrolds cross mainly, i do go to a few meetings in the season but im more of a track man, i keep the lurchers for the coursing end of things, its the gambling aswell as the dogs you see :11: :11: :11: :11: :11:
Guest trev
I like to keep a close eye on the coursing end of things because it intrests me for other reasons, the same fella that had the bitch he bred to gazza also has these two dogs in the same line as gazza and the dashing oak bitch. http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?i=74065 http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?d=faithful+monarch Thats some breeding to have on the greyhounds side of a lurcher breeding, look at breeding behind faithfull hunter, pyramid club and murmurs who was some bitch and threw some good ones, the reason they called her murmurs was she could course a hare that well he would get murmurs in the heart :11: :11: :11: :11: :11:
Guest trev
Make all: http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?i=616378 He ran well in the derby in 2004 but strugled a little this year, he was a top class contender. Heres another decent one he had lately: http://www.igb.ie/greyhounds.aspx?id=Dobbins%20bistro Not to sure what county he is in.
