oldman 4 Posted November 9, 2005 Report Share Posted November 9, 2005 Should hedgehogs be hibinating now? Ive just come home and found one on my door step. I had to move it so it it didn't meet my dog as I don't think they would have got on. Anyway I left it in some cover a couple of minutes from my house. It didn't seem to active don't know if it was just scared or ill. Just wondered if it should be sleeping at the moment. Thanks Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Lennard 10 Posted November 11, 2005 Report Share Posted November 11, 2005 Biking home from the late shifts the last month I saw a hedgehog almost every other night...normally they are hibernating but October/November this far have been record breaking warm here, at least 5 degr. above average. My bees are flying still too, normally they "hibernate" when temp goes down under 12 degr. L Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Simoman 110 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Share Posted November 15, 2005 Hedgehogs are a pain in the backside. My garden seems to be a hedgehog motorway. Had several killed in my garden, also the entire family woken up a couple of times by the terrier screaming in frustration as one of them curls into a ball just the other side of the run :realmad: Quote Link to post Share on other sites
