Opinel are a good cheap knife but for quality knife id go for somthing like a kershaw they resist abuse well but whatever you get sharpening it correctly save a lot of trouble

If its just for gutting rabbits, buy a cheep stanley knife and load it with the hooked blades.They go in easy and the bonus is they dont rip the guts.

I've used an Opinel for years,no problems other than the blade discolouring.

BUCK OR OLDTIMER . OPINEL ARNT REASONABLE THEY ARE FOR CHEEPSCATES.THEY HOLD AN EDGE BUT ARE BRITTLE AND BREAK TO EASY SAVE UP GET A GOOD KNIFE AND IT WILL LAST A LIFETIME

Im a fan of buck aswell as a rule you generaly get what you pay for when it comes to blades. ive got small 3inch lock knives that i use for work they cost 50p each they are ok for what i use them for on a building site but dont keep a very good edge. I recommend kershaw because my dads used one every day for the past 15 years and he really knows how to abuse a knife. at the end of the day i would buy the best my budget allows.
