As Ian said you can get purpose made sharpening stones for serrated edges, from rounded to triangular.

When my Dad moved to Thailand he gave me his sharpening set. He's had it for maybe 10 years and so have I.

I'd recommend it to anyone. It will bring any type of knife back to life. With variable angles from a working 30º edge (machete/cleaver) to a razor 15º (skinning, filleting or even shaving!). with Extra course through to Honing stones

:unsure: I think the prospect of sharpening each little serration rather smacks of a Chain Saw to me. A job I simply lack the ability and understanding for and would sooner pay some bugger to do for me - else buy a fresh one!
