Guest Geordie
Decided to go out last night with my trusty old Webley Vulcan .22. It was quite windy, with a more or less clear sky, just the odd white cloud crossing, and the moon was ony about a quarter out. Ive been having a bit trouble getting used to the trajectory of a .22,ive normally only used .177 cos i like the flatter trajectory Ive had the vulcan for a long time but it has only ever been used as a 'second' rifle to be honest. I checked the zero before i got too far ,aiming at some water that was lying in some of the fields (yes there was a decent backstop ) and all was well in that department. I was out for about 2 hours and bagged 3 magpies by sillouhetting (spelling?) them against the sky. It was quite tricky with the wind blowing, and the maggies bouncing around in the scope reticule, but they were all taking cleanly Aint got no piccies as i dont have a digital camera but i enjoyed it,canny night Quote Link to post
Guest sharpshooter
if i went with him it would be a diffrent story, cos he cant shoot the box in the garden never mind magpies Quote Link to post
