lamping lastnight

went out on the lamp lastnight with horris and king, i took my male harris and king took his lurcher

now this is the first time my bird has been out on the lamp, at first i didnt think he was going to take to it, but after a few shines on different rabbits he showed he'd seen one so i let him go for it, it wasnt the best of flights but it was his first time and missed it, next was kings dog, we got a squatter in the beam, off the dog went, and she took it out of its seat! :clapper:

next for the bird, off he went for a bunnie, bloody shadows! soon as the rabbit went behind a mound she lost it, :censored:

the next slip was the bird again, this time he gave a really good chase and just as the bunnie was about to make the edge he hit the bunnie but failed to bind  , but i was impressed he was getting better at it, next was kings dog, we got another squatter but as the dog raced up to it, it was off out of its seat for safety, she coursed after it and stuck to it like a missile, into the cover and over different mounds and then she took it :clapper:

my bird had another flight but the bunnie made it to saftey, but instead of landing he went up a tree, without the aid of a beam  (makes you wonder if they can see so much in the dark)

kings dog had had another course but lost it in the cover

next feild we go a squatter for the bird, up it got and off my bird went, just as i thought he'd got it the rabbit went behind a cowdung pile into the shadows, i ran around to find him standing there rabbitless! :censored:

next was kings dog, got another squatter sitting out, but as the dog got to it it lifted, off he coursed after it, jinking about evading the dog the best it could, just as it looked as it made it to the edge his dog scooped it up :toast:

next i got my bird a good squatter, stood there for ages to see if the bird could see it, the beam showed signs of fadeing! so i shifted to make to bunnie jump out of its seat, my harris dropped for it just missing it! :wallbash:

as the lamp was drainning we called it a night

im impressed as its the birds firstnight on the lamp and was showing a good intrest in it

kings dog did really well, he's been out this week three times and had 8 rabbits :victory::thumbs:

horris those led lights are the bee's knees and a great idea for use one the bird anklets :toast: maybe an invention on the cards there(get the copyright quick) :clapper:

the flashing l.e.d. i used is only tiny and has a clip and ring on it, takes 3 tiny watch type batteries and is plenty bright enough at night

thanks for your thought though mate
