                         Now then, that cap you want in an alloy etc, try -

 

                          Geoff Bullock,

                           Liquid Steel Designs ( LSD)

                            Preston

                           Top bloke, I`m pretty sure he can do this for you with his eyes closed.

                            He`ll incorporate any design/ engraving, you might fancy as well.

and iv just taken the black off the trigger guard the old tx cocking aid and the screws but i will have to get some stainless screws just did this to show you what its going to be like

God Almighty this looks.....almost......as good as my HW77 stock you refurbed for me Jimmy. 

No, really, this is looking beautiful already. The beech grain is really beautiful as you bring it out. Weihrauch always sources lovely fullered grains of beech for the HW77. 

You have to bring this rifle down with you when you visit us next time Jimmy.

She puts me in mind of your hw80 Simon

like yours she is a full length rifle 

and i will bring her down but i think i may have to pries her out of your hands lol

First two coats of oil on her Jon

both sunk strait into the stock so no shine yet

iv just put the third coat on her now .

she will get a rub over tomorrow morning with 0000 wire wool

then the fourth coat will be put on ,

just another 11 coats to go lol

im going to try and make an end cap for her my self

may not be the same but close enough

Like Mark says mate, it's looking a lot better than the original finish already :good:

 

As for the cap, I say go for it :yes:

 ...... If you're going to make your own cap, why make it like the original? - put your own stamp on it :thumbs:

Wouldn`t the rosewood cap from the likes of an Air Arms rifle and lovely white spacer be sized up nicely by you Jimmy ?

Well apart from the end cap and a few bits and peaces

im leaving her as is lads

only three coats of oil on her

I was just about to put the fourth coat on when an old guy from along my street came to see me about his car

and he saw the stock ,,,,what a lovely bit of walnut ,,,,

i told him it was beach wood and he could not believe it

so that sold it for me she is staying as is

just buffed it with bee,s wax to give her a little shine ,,not much but i like it lol

God that is a beautiful stock. Please don't change or coat it with something Jimmy, it would be a shame to lose such a well-figured grain as this. Looks like a fabulous rifle here. HW77s are world class rifles. I adore mine.
