WELL MY SON WILL HAVE TO USE ONE OF HIS OTHER RIFLES

THIS WEEK LOL OR ILL LONE HIM THE HW100

STRIPPED IT DOWN

NOW WHERE DO I START ,,,,,,,,,,,WHAT A FECKING MESS///////////

THE ADJUSTABLE CHEEK PEACE DOSE NOT ADJUST ,,,,WHERE IT IS IN THE PICS IS WHERE IT STAY,S

ITS GOT TWO WALL PLUGS THAT ARE NOT FITTED RIGHT

THE WET PATCH IN THE PICS IS WHERE SOME ONE HAS STARTED TO PUSH THE WOOD WORK OUT

BY NOT HAVING THE SCREW IN THE RIGHT PLACE I HAD TO TAP THIS BACK IN WITH A LITTLE HAMMER

THEN SAND IT BACK .

THE STRAIT LINES OF THE STOCK WERE NOT STRAIT IV HAD TO SAND THEM STRAIT

AND LINE THEM BACK UP .

THE BUTT PAD IS NOT FITTED RIGHT SO I NEED TO SORT THAT AS WELL OR FIT A BIZ ONE

iT LOOKS LIKE A HOME MADE CUSTOM STOCK

IF ITS NOT I WOULD NOT OF BEEN HAPPY WITH THE WORK ON THIS STOCK

IV NOW GOT TO DRILL THE STOCK SO THE CHEEK PEACE IS ADJUSTABLE

AND BUY THE PROPER SCREWS AND FITTING FOR IT

IT MAY OF BEEN THE CASE THAT THE STOCK AT ONE TIME WAS A HOLE STOCK AND SOME ONE HAS CUT THE CHEEK PEACE OFF THEM SELF,S AND MADE A RIGHT MESS OF IT LOL

ANY WAY IV SANDED BACK ONE SIDE AND REMOVED THE DEEP DINGS AND SCRATCHES

JUST NEED TO DO THE OTHER SIDE NOW

AND WHY O WHY DO PEOPLE LACQUER WALNUT STOCKS

Looks like it,s from the Fred Flinstone school of woodwork Mac but i dont think it,l have any problems once you,ve waved your wand over it and made it what it never was.Why do a fake cheek piece and use rawlpugs ???Thats yehaa territory .

Lucky for your son your a mighty fine restoration fettler and he,s going to have a servicable one off working special as opposed to the bodgit n scarper stock that was on it ,look forward to the finished pictures atb Jonny tenthumbs

Dont really mind the cheek peace work i have to do to it

its the lacquer i just hate to see a walnut stock with lacquer on it

the hole point of a walnut stock is that you get to oil it and caress it and rub oil all over it

and fondle it every now and again  lol.

Ill have her right by the time im done with her mind

Got the first coat of oil(tung oil) on her

it has sunk strait into the wood

so she will need another some time today

all marks and dings have gone

now she looks like a walnut stock .

Im having the comp risers made for her

and will have to drill two holes in the side of the stock for the screws to fit so she can be adjusted with ease .
