Wheres everyone buying them from , was using black dog for a while but website been down for a bit , are they still trading ? I could get three sets to bellmans one set for same price .

i've used the B&F  the leather is good thick lasting 9 years so far but the brass fitting wear out fast, i'll have to go to a show this year see whats on offer

Had the same set of couples for nigh on 20 years ,leather too .Just need to clean the dirt off every outing and linseed once in a while .

Dont want to go off toppic, but whats the best way of cleaning up old leather collars?

Go into horse shop and get saddle soap and saddle oil. A horse man I know cleaned mine. Good job he done too. Keeps wet leather from cracking and turning  stiff.

To me quick release doesn’t scream secure fastening.

I got some biothane ones of ebay that seem pretty good up to now

Biothane with brass fittings are really good.The normal  biothane are cheap but rust after a while. Still good value for money though and much cheaper and easier clean than leather. Nothing worse than 2 lurchers kenneled together and one eats the expensive collar of the other. ?

As secure as any normal couple it’s just 2 hoops either end of collar n clip holds them together

Not having a go mate but please be careful there was a thread a while ago where a guys dog managed to get the clip loose and dropped to ground without a collar on

Bellman for me I’ve got two sets they are both spot on good leather had then 3yr up to now and they still look good
