We dug up some armoured cable in the garden today. It had nothing attached to one end and the other I traced back to an RCD on the fuseboard.

I want to use it to power a water feature. 'Er indoors wants a lamp post. Is there a kind of junction box that is suitable for burying underground so we can have both?

Yes, gland it off and use a galvanised t box.

If ya want to get complicated, I'd ask what size cable and how many legs, and don't forget local isolation on both, what size Rcd is it and what rating? You don't want to know that bit though I bet ?

can you pour resin in the junction/joint box to totally waterproof it?

A good purge with a silicon gun is just as good. The last joint pack I bought for a 420mm 4l swa was near on £1,200. For DIY skip the regs :)
