I have six unused 50s from Nels0n... well you never know when you might need em ?, I tend to use the same three 50s I rigged up myself from advanced netting, they are about 5 yr old but still catch rabbits.

Never had to as yet Fred but I’ve come damn close on a few occasions , as I’ve got older I need to get the old adrenaline running ( just to keep me alive ?) and I find I’m going places I’d never have

We all Love to get back to a net bouncing with a few rabbits but the satisfaction of running a net out without a hitch and with a nice breeze in your face comes a very close second for me.

The last net I run out caught one buck rabbit, I took him out and rightly or wrongly let him go free. I hadn’t seen that many rabbits on that field for a few month but the night was perfect for that d

What were the nets made from ?.

think they were 3 ply hemp.sorting old stuff out recently found about 30 yards of 2 strand hemp white no running lines or anything. pretty sure it must be from him.in great nick to say hes been dead 30 years

Good to see a bit of activity in the section again.. I have a few nets laying around the place, though they don't get out much due to the lack of rabbits.  I never ever thought that I would see areas once heaving with rabbits now wiped out.. Heartbreaking so it is..

Regards.

its same here there are pockets of rabbits in places & a good summer behind them who knows?.some probably wouldn't think its worth running nets out for a few. but if i get a few its worth it to me its the enjoyment of being out

I'm the same,... I just like grabbing a 50 yd job, and running a few sets along the shoreline.

There is usually a good breeze coming off the sea and I've got some dead cert crossing places, that invariably get me a dozen for the dog freezer.

That does me,  I ain't greedy...
