Big Mac's famous Airsporter !

I took the Airsporter for a proper outing and test, before our Easter shoot. Sadly no juniors today (Sods Law !),  but I got some photos of some of our experienced shooters, putting the old girl through her paces.

All were impressed with the smooth cocking cycle and the minimal recoil - it's an absolute joy to shoot. Best comments, however, were about the quality of the restoration - "fabulous" and "brilliant" were used several times ! Rest assured, she's found a good home, were she'll be well used and much admired !

I think she is going to remain unscoped (for now at least) and, as well as general use, we're hoping to use her for a dedicated iron sight bell target event, in the summer round of competitions.

A few others tried her out, but I couldn't get photos of them all, and run the day at the same time.

when you think she looked like this when i got her

and she was a full restoration ,,,stock,,action,,internals 

and to see her now being used BY THE BIG KIDS

MAKES ALL THAT AFFORD WORTH WHILE

In hine site looking back at her now its probably to big for the young uns 

but they will grow into using her .

Some one once asked me why do you not charge any one for doing the refurbishments

or why donT you sell the ones you do that have been given to you

most of the time it costs me

and the answer is easy

ITS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY

ITS PUTTING A SMILE ON SOME ONES FACE WHEN THEY SEE THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME

AND BRINGING SOME THING BACK THAT WAS FIT FOR THE BIN

AND MAKING IT BETTER THAN NEW

THATS THE BEST GIFT ANY ONE CAN HAVE

All the guys in the photos are better than average shooters, and they were all impressed with Big Mac's skills and expertise in the refurb.

If you need work doing or just women's evidence, I'd say "Jimmy's the man !"

Well, whatever it was...........it definitely worked !

Recoil is hardly noticeable, about an inch, straight back and very gentle - no barrel flip at all !

 

The trigger is a little on the heavy side, but since she's probably as old as me..................it's not even a criticism !

Oh man, that's one scary looking geezer - I don't doubt that he likes the Airsporter but, I reckon he's threatening to bite your ear off if you try to take it back
