Big Brother Is Watching You

Fresh off an emerging data breach scandal that alleges they've skimmed 50 million Facebook profiles for their elections algorithm, Channel 4 have secretly filmed Cambridge Analytica executives explaining that they use bribes and sex-workers to entrap politicians.

Zuckerberg's fortune has bombed $4.9billion on the revelation and has prompted disgraced spook Eddie Snowden to go on record and claim that the social media platform is actually full blown surveillance company. 20 years ago an invasion of privacy was brought down with heinous condemnation, even retaliation. Today your internet searches are still for sale to the highest bidder but the prices would make a merchant banker blush...

News? Hardly...

Surprising? Not even a little...

Question is why are the majority alright with it?

Another one not on Facebook , can’t understand this fixation for telling every one every detail of your life ..they can all fcuk themselves off ..

Specifically? The fact that GCHQ/NSA are monitoring everything I do pretty much unregulated and unaccountably or that this is a massive abuse of government and liberty? The fact I'm being monitor

This is the thing, all the big companies Google and amazon the worse, collecting everything you do/search to target you and sell your info, we have to agree to their terms to even own a device these days. We can't even decipher the terms and conditions, let alone have the time to read them, but can't use the device we pay for without doing so.

Had a hard time recently with bank wanting my phone number, it's ok if I need to I'll contact you! No sir we need your mobile number..... Err no your not getting it! Your move.

Technology a way to improve our lives, yeah right, more a move to control us.

If it means they can watch my porn search history to prevent ttacks like the Manchester Bombing then so be it IMO. I remember in the film about Snowden, we all like to talk about our freedom but deep down we want to be safe above all things.

Because I've done nothing wrong !

I'm not being paranoid, but I AM being spied on - we all are, to one degree or another. My concern is about WHY information is gathered and what it is used for.

Yes and then we cry and moan about our intelligence when a terrorist attack happens.  Would you be happy to be spied on if it helped prevent terrorist attacks.

I think that's true of most Brits. But not a f***ing chance I buy into it personally.
