Thanks, gents. Okay, so these are part of your contract with a private utility company? I'm assuming their sales pitch is based on consumption versus supply whereas the reality is also that they can reduce staff as they connect/disconnect remotely without sending a technician into the field? I'm sure it's not gone unnoticed that they can now spot a dope grow without sending an expensive helicopter although knowing your peak utility usage will ensure that they can raise the prices accordingly to maximise their profits. Anything that uses WiFi can be monitored and I guess it comes down to how much information you're comfortable with sharing. Everything leaks information that could be handy to someone. What this new government tool proposes is that the 3rd party can tell you what you can see on the internet before you have the option to regulate it yourself. It starts with jihadist material and then evolves into whatever the ruling government thinks you shouldn't be looking at.

walshie 2,804
Why did they bother to tell us about the software? Now the jihadists know about it they'll just use the dark web more. Surely it would have been better to just block it without saying they were doing it. Just makes it look like they're doing something. It's the beginning of the end IMO. Soon anything the government doesn't agree with will be blocked. From fizzy drink adverts to flag makers to discussion boards Everyone will be surrounded by the fuzzy pink Utopia the lefties believe already exists and we will be churning out fuzzy pink lefty children. Then the world will be "nice."

Big?There are guys around, enterprising characters who work for the lecky board, they turn up in their works vehicles and arrange that you don't actually pay for your hps usage, seen it done at 5 grand for an industrial unit and 2 grand for a house, the unit they dug up the pavement directly outside as they worked, genuine professional job and tidy finish, always best to be legal however and avoid those sort of people and situations.

You're not going to debunk their myths without showing firsthand what they're doing to anyone that doesn't convert. It's almost like the agenda is to censor the information to support their inclusive narrative disguised as a narrative to stop them spreading their propaganda. Either way, it's an excellent government sponsored tool to control what you can and can't access on the worlds biggest information platform.

Give it a few years and without access to the information that lets people make informed decisions, the world will be full of people with exactly the same ideals. Ideals that the powers that be see fit. Let's hope they don't ban libraries too. I doubt many of the younger generation knows what a library is though. They already tell us what we should eat, what we can say, how much sleep we should get, what to wear when it's raining and not to pour hot coffee on yourself. The average IQ will plummet, but at least we'll all love each other.

Maybe @ginger beard is onto something after all!

That's the problem. What confirms your belief might actually be true but if it's unpopular and ruling elite decide you shouldn't have access to it then you'll never know. George Orwell wrote a book about it.
Flipper_Al 1,012
Leave the internet alone... it aint broke, the yanks have already fooked us over with net neutrality All this new software will do IF it proves to be effective, is move the issue to another non mainstream media format, which isn't solving the problem
