andyf 144
Ok ; a 22.250 is fine, I've got one and although its not deer legal here, if I could I'd use it for Roe with fast expanders. But it's not so instead I go for 'bigger is better' I use either a 7x57 or .270Win, I've shot lots and NEVER had a runner so I guess that covers it? AndyF Quote Link to post
ianm 2,594
22.250 would do the job just fine, especially if you neck shoot them. I use a 30/06 which also does the job just fine. 1 Quote Link to post

Terry Ermann 994
So when it comes to different ammo and the licence do I need to specify ballistic, soft tip, expanding etc? Quote Link to post

I've taken down loads of red with my 243 using 100g BT but the 308 is the boy. Just remember there's legal limits for certain deer v certain calibres and power etc. (DSC L1 basics ) Quote Link to post
