Pro Sport .177 set up.

Everything done now, she`s ready for zeroing in.

                I was unable to use a napier pull through to clean the barrel before her zero. I didn`t want to force anything so I rang the RFD.

                 They said to use the felt pellets if that was the case but I would still get a very fine zero eventually without, as the rifle needs to bed in.

                 I`ll get the felt cleaning pellets I think.

                 Anyway here she is in daylight.

                 Forgive the weeds, brickwork etc, etc.

That's a nice set up Mark

 

The felt pellets should work ok. If I'm using them in a springer, I like to put a pellet behind them to help stop the piston from slamming.

 

Have you taken any shots with it yet?

 ...... I'm interested in what you think of the shot cycle

Very smooth shot cycle indeed Jon.

                The FWB Sport .177 is aggressive in comparison.

                The T Rex is very smooth also, so a match off on paper between the two rifles, shot by the same owner will prove very interesting, I think.

Fishing line mark

make it in a loop and tie it to some thing that resembles a handle

feed the end of the loop in the top of the barrel until it comes out at the breech

then feed a patch (naipier cloth or cut up old t,shirt )into the loop

i use gun oil in mine and pull through

i all ways pull the last few through dry to clean the oil out

The used one that I had for a while was the same

 

I give them a bit of stick about being AAs 2nd best springer but, to be fair, they do shoot like a tuned rifle as standard.

Annoys me you dont have equal spacing between your mounts/turrets like, but thats just me  OCD.

You out over the weekend with it? Whats the crono saying out of interest?

I don't mind with that but, if my gaps aren't the same on either side of a scope mount when I screw them down, it'll bug the shit out of me until I change it

A lot of lads think either way Sean but because I`ve only needed to tweak my T Rex`s scope/ mounts once or twice since 2015, I thought I`d stay with two piece and built in arrestor pin again. 

p.s. lovely, light nudge of a recoil Sean, should be easily held again.

Aye up Rez,

             No big deal but eye relief and the very last arrestor hole on the Sport governed the rear mount position, if you notice the breech and loading area, I only just got away with this scope  .

             Not out with her until she is perfect mate, then chronograph .

Thats the other thing i like about the PS the loading port even over the 97 its over to one side

so even if a sun shade is needed on a sunny day

you can still load easily.

One thing I've never done is shot a decent modern springer, the last was a bsa meteor and that was a fair few years ago....
