Doves and rats

Recommended Posts

Out with the HW100 last night to thin some barn doves out and have a go at some rats as well. Shooting the doves was pure control.. you couldn’t call it sport as the helpless buggers were like cans on a wall and I had 10 on the floor in two minutes, followed by another 6 shortly after.

Picking the buggers around lumbering cattle in the barn wasn’t much fun but they couldn’t be left there.

Next... rats.... had every intention of a bag shot but the floor was like poo-soup so they could bloody stay where they fell! Had a few on the run and probably had a dozen in total.

Cheers fellas - yeah the rats were frustrating as they didn’t like the lamp at all. Had one good stand by a pile of tyres where I cleaned out 6 or 7 in a few minutes.

The pics don’t do justice to the size of some of them.. mind you I also shot one not much bigger than my thumb... it went pop?
