neil b 2,264 Posted January 27, 2018 Report Share Posted January 27, 2018 After not getting out for a good few weeks we went this morning with the forecast saying light rain, once we got sorted out we set off, due to the rain and wind very little was above ground so I had to once again relay on my canine partner to find the action, it wasn’t long before she was hypnotised by the scent of a bunny or two below ground, that was all I needed to get the nets set and two of my albino kits sent into battle, number one was a hole hopper, so I sent another ferret right in behind him quickly, it bolted like a train, number two was pulled out of a hole, lurcher on one end ferret on the other, number three quickly followed and that was that next set produced 6. 5 bolts and a nice little dig once I had back filled it was time to move on. The next Mark I got was in a place covered with heather so I kept watch on one side the lurcher on the otherafter giving it 20 mins and nothing moving out with the bleeper, both ferrets we’re still on the move next thing two came together one for me one for the lurcher. Out came the Jill full of fur and mud, she had definitely been up close and very personal with these rabbitsa couple more rabbits picked up on our travels made the bag 16, the constant wind and rain, battling getting longnets back in baskets was enough for us so we called it a day just before 12pm.cheers Neil b 12 Quote Link to post
