I am quite sure you are right Jimmy, it is just me, I simply can't seem to crack the technique of springer shooting although I had no problem whatsoever with my tuned TX. I will be putting a bit of range time in to see if I can improve things somewhat.

Phil

Tim or Si may be able to smooth it out a bit more but i think she is at her limit as to polishing Phil

get her out on the crows and pigeons and she will come into her own

I think Mark is right Phil its how you hold a spring rifle that defines the way it shoots

and i think your thinking to much about the rifles recoil thats putting you off .

We all know your a cracking shot

get her out in the field where you will be thinking about the pray and not the rifle

and watch her take them down .

I was hitting every thing with her at the range and on the crows before you got her

just let her slide through your hands

The strange thing is Jimmy / Mark, when I was struggling to produce a decent group, I just sat the fore end on my bench rest holding the gun only at the grip so there was no holding tension on the fore end at all. It was not until after I had produced some shit groups that I went for resting the fore end in my left hand.

I have not had a decent session with the rifle at the range for a while so it is time to put some effort in and I am more than happy to try anything................................................................I should just stick to pcp. Having said that, I was shooting a s/h HW57 .22 in the RFD range and at 25mt (range distance) I was producing pellet on pellet just as I did with the tuned TX, I should have bloody bought that HW57, nice and light for an underlever and very accurate.

I know, I am just a twat.........................................

Phil
