Rain hat for spectacles wearer

Recommended Posts

Best I've got so far is a boonie type hat with the all round brim on it. But its not waterproof so it gets sodden in proper rain. Got all my rain gear down fairly well at this stage just the hat that's the weak point. Like the cowboy style hats but yet to find one I don't look an eejit in......... Have we any other spectacles wearers on here who've found decent headgear for the sideways rain were blessed with?

get a pair of specs with a set of hydrophobic lenses! Honestly, I would be lost without mine. Can be a little pricey but all the years of fishing and such in the rain has made them a necessity. Alternatively, try having a look at the Tilley hats, they do a good range of Hemp ones that tend to look alright regardless of the wearer haha. Get it fitted properly and you should be good. Alternatively, wear contacts. Unless you have an issue with rain on your eyeballs.
