Getting fed up

Il start from the begining. Im from Ireland been hunting the past 20years and recently moved to England, the north west to be precise. I have gained a little bit of perm here and there over the season nothing too much.

I have never seen anything as bad in my life, i have spent the past few weeks going lamping looking for new ground to possibly ferret and pick a few bunnys up on the lamp but there is literally no numbers here in this part. Its extremly frustrating theres maybe a few here and there but nowere near enough to satisfy 2 young dogs busting to get the work in this country.

Example i set off friday night to a bit of perm i got a few bunnies ect, i mean a few think i got 3 runs. Out for 8/9hours scouting about then i done the same last night literally out from dusk till dawn. If that was back home in ireland i would have gotten plenty.

Does anyone else struggle to get any kind of work with the dogs? Surely it cant be as bad as it is!! I done well over 400miles in 2 nights and not a bloody thing. Its very disheartining.

Everywhere suffering for rabbits by the sound things. Even the lads who up on the dales saying there seeing less and less...

for the last 2 seasons ill be suprised if I accounted for 100 rabbits each season that including ferretting bushing and odd night lamping. welcome to england.

I am the same a hour drive for two rabbit but the lad enjoy it second time out mate but really bad this season most I've had is 4 and that with driving around looking for them just no number found one spot but need find out who own it  and that was driving around for half a day

It the same around me mate was goin take a litter from my bitch but seems pointless ATM can't find work for the 2 I got so I'm thinking I would be struggling to bring a pup on I also done some miles scouting around but nothing seems to be about very disheartening hopefully numbers will come back next year but even where they were in the summer there no sign of them now think this is my worse season ever up-to now

Im the same mate no point asking permission if theres nothing there to hunt. Drive around and see first then go ask but i never seen anything as bleak in my life. Alls i see on these fb pages is lads getting 20, 30+ a day up north or down south. This part of the country is dead. I dont know weather rifle men have them mostly shot or disease has been bad this year but its very bad at the minuite.

I dont know about the rest of south but kent is abit empty in places before youd be falling over em.

kent mate. in the middle of 2 small towns so never in short supply of 'green' foxs.

its the same where i am, been out a few times in last few weeks with my pup to local bits and struggle to even get a run. everything is lamp shy already too so its not been great trying to start my pup. will need to start travelling.

Looks like il be getting the boat home on a weekend to go hunting and back for work monday again......

as nice as it would be nice to have the amount of rabbits we had before I dont think theyll be back in the numbers they were before for some time. maybe a 'switch' of quarry is needed for most.

It's the same here. Just think though lads the places where your going and struggling to catch the last couple of rabbits what are you gonna catch next season when there's no breeding stock?
