Quick wander before dark

Recommended Posts

I didn't fancy lamping tonight so snook out at about 2.30pm for the last couple of hours on the mixy perm I was on last weekend. There wasn't much sign of anything in the usual places but I had a walk up to the top fields that horses are usually in but they had been moved and spotted a couple of coneys from a distance.20171119_160425_001-1512x2016.thumb.jpg.d132d4ae95efcb2051c0effd7f2f2eb0.jpg

From where I was sitting, the opposite fence was at 46 yards so that gave me an easy 1 mil dot holdover and when the first one came out he didn't know what hit him.

Lovely shot placement but he had got early signs of mixy, eye closing up etc.

After a 15 minute wait, nothing else showed so I headed back to the van and saw a lovely looking buck rabbit just outside a brand new Warren that can only have been dug in the last week as it wasn't there last weekend so I crouched down by a wall and took the shot. Lovely shot placement again and at an easy 32 yards so bang on the cross hairs.

The road is on a private driveway so safe to shoot accross?

No signs of mixy on this one so after an inspection of his liver, he could well be in the pot?

It was a shame there wasn't more about as I would have like to see how this new swift stumpy affected the others rabbits close by. Never mind, it was definitely quieter than the bsa one I had on previously??

Your new permission looks outstanding mate.

                                                     Compliments

Cheers Mark. This is old faithful perm pal. I still haven't had the green light on the new one yet. My fingers are still very much crossed??
