Quad sticks all day long for me, 4x B&Q sticks absolutely solid, no rear stock left floating when taking a shot, light as a feather, cheap as chips... when you want to move lift a leg slightly and swivel round... a lot of people are fans of the primos, not for me personally, but if it works, why change.

Bang on! I've used a standard two stick setup, Primos tripod triggerstick and finally homemade quadsticks the same as you. The quadsticks cost about 15 quid to make and by far the best setup.

There's a lot of kit out there designs to catch hunters not game imo.

Quads for me , I did have a set of the all singing and dancing alloy ones which were superb and the best I’ve ever used , unfortunately they are not truck proof and now use a home made set till I have s rush of blood to my small brain and buy another set of alloys ..

Daft as it sounds, has anyone else on here used a mono stick ? I'll admit to a triple but also have a mono when in woodland. All it really does is give you a steady hand against a tree or over a hedge etc etc. If you feel that it would be any good I'll send one. Green as well. One really steady owner and have as seen. Only a thought. Jok.

I’ve already seen the five legged set so another 3 won’t be far away , is it going to be a pop up set a bit like the pop up tents that folds down and fits in your pocket .? This time next year we’ll be millionaires ...

The way my shaking is going Walshie, you had better add an extra two legs for me and make it a round 10. I'll bl**dy need them soon. :cray:

You really should try the quads Tremo. They're as cheap as chips and as stable as you want them. A few years ago I added an extra stick and if you have the time you can get em so you just have to pull the trigger. My extra leg is adjustable. I don't have to use it but for longer targets I extend the back leg with the rifle pointed high, then lowering the rifle to the target I put slight pressure on the back leg with my knee. Takes longer to tell than to do. I'm not kidding when I say if I couldn't have my quads I'd hardly go shooting at all. I suspect a lot of people that are using one, two, and three legged versions sometimes have to lean on something occasionally but I can stand in the middle of a field and as already been said, lift one leg with the extra stick closed and scan 360degrees. Once target acquired I line up extend the back leg and bang.

I left out the bit about not having to put the rifle down to work on it, reload, make a cuppa etc
