Return to lamping

Hello everyone.  Ive returned to lamping after a few years and dug out my old 170 lamp. Looking on the internet for a new bulb I saw some new lamps with led bulbs in. They seem quite cheap so I was thinking about buying one but being from yorkshire I didnt want to spend money without finding out first if they were any good. If someone could shed some light on it and enlighten me .......pardon the pun, id be very happy. Thank you.

Depends on what, and how far out you want to lamp

I use one with my pup, beam fades after a couple of 100 m but they are light, last well and once you get used to the colour of the light do the job. The 170 is a far better lamp though .

I had a 120 from you Dave. Nice bright light, but wider beam than I prefer. Do you have one with similar light output but narrower beam?  120 with beam half as wide would be the perfect lamp imo.

The best tight beam is the 150 with battery in handle or if you will take one with cable it would be 45w will  beat the blizs for distance with a much tighter beam

3/4 whippet 1/4 collie. Had one booked but bitch didn't take unfortunately.  Hard to find mate.
