The gin just gets in the way of the chilli in my opinion.

Gin should only be consumed once chilli cant!

Cider......now thats different gravy!

Matt

check out perry's cider mills, sheppy's cider and lyme bay winery for some good somerset ciders.i know lyme bay is in devon but only just.

perry's has gone a little bit arty now but used to have about 12/15 wooden barrels of all different ciders that you could try before you buy.now only 3/4,the rest in bottles.

Best gin I ever tasted came from Carrefour in Calais, it was called Old Lady's...

https://www.bestofwhisky.com/uk/old-lady-gin.html

I used to make my sloe gin with this, still get it in carrefour near me I think. Last bottle of sloe gin in the cupboard, made it over 10 or 12 year ago, last sloe gin session ended badly.. not had any since. Do like a g&t though. More often have just the t though for the quinin.

Gin is the new "now" thing, or latest fad lol, every pub round here has a selection like some pubs sell malts etc.

Nice 35cl double with a 200 tonc, lime and ice on a hot summers day is good though.

Cheers, D.

Daveee88, what's your whisky of choice?

Pretty new to the whiskey scene so wouldn't say i have a go to whiskey yet. Only been a whiskey drinker for a couple of years...at the moment im working my way through a bottle of Glenmorangie that i got for my birthday. Never had the £££ to buy any of the higher end bottles. Any recommendations?
