I've always found Fold Flat, Fox Cages to be a reet fecking pain....

But, a vanload of Flat Pack carrot cages is a handy bit of kit to own,...they won't ever be cheap though...

The ones Pest Stop do are pretty good and sensible money, can't say the same for the rest of their traps.

I don't care how good the traps,its trying to get the rabbits in them thats hard.Never had much luck with them.

Very true, have only had very limited success, young ones tend to go in, but adults are wary

From my own limited experience of cage trapping rabbits and the advice of a farming mate who does a lot of it, it works best in colder weather when natural food sources are less abundant and the pressure is on the bunnies to work harder for their scoff.

 

I had a go in June this year at a vineyard that was poisoned with them, 10 traps out for 5 days on the bounce and caught 1 youngster - useless.

 

I have been told that if you haven't made a catch within 3-4 days to give up - you ain't going to catch a thing.

 

I have had a lot more success in gardens with leaky rabbit proofing where the quarry is a captive audience, so to speak.
