Great job Margaret - its beginning to look like the calendar I have run for gundog tests in NI for several years - only bigger!   We publish the gundog calendar in the Spring issue of the magazine  and will also publish this for you. With over 100,000 readers per issue in the hard copy glossy and FREE to READ online issues the shows will reach a huge audience.   The current magazine with SEVEN pages of terrier, whippet and lurcher news and 124 pages of countrysports news  is  in the shops now and also available  FREE to READ online at www.countrysportsandcountrylife.com

Many thanks Albert, what would we do without you. You are a true ambassador for all Country Sports. Irene and yourself  donate and give to many  shows and charities during the year, and never  asks for anything in return. Many thanks for everything in 2017 and we look forward to working with  you again in 2018.

Thanks Margaret. With our 40th anniversary coming up in 2018 our team ( and I mean team - many of whom who have been with us for that whole period ) have got real enjoyment out of promoting countrysports over that period.  When I say it is a team effort, many of the team  work so hard in the background and largely without recognition to ensure we deliver our award winning events year after year.

We have had many  awards and plaudits come our way over the years where our events have been assessed as excellent by informed people and groups including the President of the ROI!  That is why we are unconcerned at a few 'numerically challenged'  individuals trying to 'rain on our parade'  as we go into the largest year of celebrations for the GREAT GAME FAIRS of IRELAND.

Some of the awards we have won along the way include : 2016 shortlisted in the TOP FIVE events of all kinds in Northern Ireland; special certificates issued for both fairs from Michael D Higgins, an award by the Taoiseach;  several  national and international tourism awards including a Marketing Excellence award ( the top award) from TourismNi etc, etc.  All of these awards, plaudits etc were awarded through objective assessment  by tourism and marketing professionals  not people with a chip  on their shoulder.

Our 40th RUBY anniversary year is going to be one where were we really do celebrate  the work of the men and women of our team ( sadly some no longer with us)  and the proud history of our fairs and the contribution they have made to Irish rural life.
