Webley Vulcan Carbine

I have just been given a Vulcan by my brother in law that he said had lost all its power even after a new spring and piston head had been fitted.On inspection i can see that the barrel has moved forward in the breech block away from the seal causing the power drop. A smart tap at the muzzel with a soft faced mallet put everything right for a couple of shots but it has moved forward again. Can someone tell me please how the barrel is locked in place .?

Can`t help you at all with gun smith work Roy but what I can tell you is that I used a Webley Vulcan .22 years ago and my word are they a damn good springer, ( for their era)

So your pivot pin plays a lot then? On a serious note...

 

Just wondering how it is moving forward if there is no movement around the pin.

Can't see how the barrel can move foreword unless the the block is knackered ?
