Fecking kill me these threds...
Always wanted to eat my own picked field shrooms.
Moved to the country, bought s couple of books and them books tell me that for every edible there's an almost identical one that'll level you... So in eight years i've picked feck all...
Can't tell shit from shineola...!! :(

Edited to add... round here is choc-full of every type, size and shape of fungus you could imagine. Dog walks are fecking killing me..!!

fields aren't easily confused mate, especially larger specimens

Edited to add - make sure it has no vulva or ring and brown or pink gills. Even if they're under a veil and you'll be sound mate.

Look back at gls stainer post to make sure they don't bleed yellow but even then yellow stainers aren't poisonous to all

I'd rather go with someone pointing me in the right direction than take a guess from a book mate.. ;)

Up in the woods on the side of Dartmoor again the "Winter Chanterelles" are coming strong now "Hedge Hog Mushrooms" still good but only a few of the real "Chanterelles" left.

Any idea what these yellow ones are array? They look similar to a chanterelle but hollow stem

Think they are "Meadow Wax Caps" could not remember name if not meadow I'm fairly sure they are a wax cap. Thats a really good haul mate not found any "Blewits" yet and you got a cracking "Cep" there to well done.
