I've returned to the UK after many years away and going through my mountains of junk and found this book Lambourn. Doug Cooper, Plummer, Mike Douglas, Mad Jim the Blacksmith and a few more dog men every year, wish it was still going.

I would not worry about getting in to books,we talking lurchers and they bred for hunters trying ta make coin or crust to supplement there family ,Geoff battans a real die hard hunter his I believe still around and fo me represents what lurchersare supposed to be about ,to many got in to looking for fame while those real die hard hunters like of has old stood in the shadows not wanting it any other way . That's cage on the truck wax full of Lurcher welps from lab xs greys to alsation greys the whole shabang ,there was back then plenty alsation greys about even the stunning creame brindled dog ,the black saddled brindle was almost identical to a animal I owned they seem to be not two common the alsation saddledf1 beauty of a animal atbbunnys.

Sandy what yas done fa a living ,I'll tell what I done dogs field work earth work nothing else day in day out have probably wLked more miles than you have drove doing Lurcher work rabbits seen till sick of em ,same with the bigger stuff bit of course I am trying to.
