Up at 05.00 kettle on make a flask and sandwiches set of at 06.00 Arnside 07.35

haven't fished there myself for over 10 years . good spot for flatties and the odd sea trout & salmon

i fancy having ago at that but, just my luck id get stuck in the quick sand ( 403 rescued since 2015)

There used to be loads of kids doing it then, it was a popular cheap day out with a picnic lol
Cant remember there being any danger but thats 50 years back
Perhaps people/parents had more common sense then?
