Blanchland Show

Morning anyone know if the Blanchland country show is on the bank holiday Monday, good show well worth a visit.

Evening, the blanchland was held today, great show, great setting , something for everyone, terrier show, gundog Scurry, horses, agriculture, well worth a visit make a note in the diary for next year..

What a b*****d I was told it was cancelled this year. Gutted I didn't go it's a decent show

There's a terrier and lurcher show held in blanchland could be this show that was cancelled.

The show was cancelled this year and hasn't been on think Eddie is thinking of a different one.

the dnwtc show was cancelled due to john winch,s poor health, niel stobarts charity show was also cancelled due i think to poor attendances .

The show we attended was the blanchland and hunstanworth to give it it's full name.on bank holiday Monday,I know a few years ago there was two terrier and lurcher show s held each year at the same place perhaps it's these your thinking of..

      Unfortunately this will be the last one, as the East of England ground have decided its no longer profitable
      and will not be continuing after this year with the Autumn show, so hope people will come along and show their support.
       
       
      Sunday 8th October
       
      At:
       
      East of England Showground
      Peterborough
      PE2 6XE
       
      Simulated Coursing for Lurchers, followed by Straight Racing Overs and Unders for Lurchers, and Whippet and Terrier Racing.
       
      Booking in from 8.00am
       
       
      Open Showing from approx 12.30 with classes for Lurchers and Terriers will be back again this year, with rosettes and trophies.
       
       
      (The day will also feature the British Supreme Lurcher Championship organised by Pat Quant at 10.30am)
       
      There'll also be Long Jump and other things to keep you occupied all day!
       
      Stalls, food etc too.
       
      A good fun day out, well run, and all profits go to support Lurcher Link - lurcher specialist rescue.
