Recommended Posts

not been able to test the 97k in .177 till an hour ago cos the neighbour has had the grandkids out in the garden!

I did a few bits to it last night and fitted the vortek kit!

this is the first test with a scope on... did a full-blown barrel clean last night as it was gunked up!

no leading in bar a few aa field last night setting the power!

cheap Hawke vantage mil dot scope £85 worth every penny and jsb heavy .52's

first 6 shots zeroing

10 in the top shoot n see

4 clicks left and ten I the centre and picked the numbers off!

well happy, I can't shoot a pcp any better

only gripe I've got is I can't find a 7mm key to sort the baffle out cos the spring is twanging a bit!

Why ?

I just felt like I couldn't gel with it mate

It was a nice rifle and, I tried everything with it - sporter stock, standard thumb hole, custom stock, trigger adjustment, standard internals, sleeving, drop in kit, short stroking, different power levels, different zeroes, different pellets - despite putting in a lot of practice time with it, I just never felt confident enough to hunt with it.

This'll be my 3rd TX - these seem to fit me perfectly

Yeah, best not mate - That user name suits him well

I've gone for .177 in a walnut stock.

..... I've even managed to track down one of my favourite scopes for it - an original MTC Viper SCB.

...... it's been a good day

It's funny you say that - I haven't got huge hands but, I do like something to grab, wether it's knife handles, gun stocks or women ;)

I might try this in the next Black Cat HFT competition if I've got it ready in time.

Put some .177 JSB Exact Express through her Jon, the accuracy is jaw dropping.

Lovely rifle the TX :good:

atb Mark.

I've got a few tins of FAPs here, I reckon they'll work a treat

I can't wait to get this TX sorted and get out with it - I never managed to feel like that about the 97.

I can't knock the 97s though - I had a very quick go on Si's .22 - he's got that shooting very sweet.
