desertbred 5,490 Posted August 3, 2017 Report Share Posted August 3, 2017 (edited) It was the publicly funded BBC at its biased best.IT was a squandered opportunity to put the RSPCA onto a Nationwide pedestal to show its bias and its total incompetence to fulfill its role as an animal welfare association. It highlighted cases prosecuted against 4 people who where neither intentionally cruel nor guilty of any visible crime, they failed to show how much publicly donated charity money was spent on the cases nor did it highlight cases where even high court Judges had questioned money spent prosecuting cases that would not have reached court except as privately funded prosecutions. They showed two defence Barristers who themselves are reluctant to defend animal cruelty cases as the RSPCA have unlimited funds to waste prosecuting private cases that the CPS see no grounds for taking to court. The BBC tried to guide towards the argument that fault was at CEO and the Committee level so was purely administrative and the remainder of the RSPCA was doing a excellent job when in truth as one of its ex CEO stated it is no longer fit for purpose. I'm sure when they get a certain amount Ofcom takes action or but you often hear after 30,000 complaints ofcom decided .there was no complaint to answer is Ofcom independant or part of the bbc ?.
