Whippet Taking Feather

My boy is alright with feather caught a few pheasant pigeon and goose

And retreve a duck from water.

 

 

All quarry was taken in the day time and on permission in season exepet the hen pheasnt dog got that when i was striming the garden hen jump out of the bambles and got grabd her and it was just dark when the misses got home to take the pic.

 

No training was done. He sees it ,he wants it.

My beddy x greyhound caught a pheasant on a country lane this time last year near a shoot. I recon the gamekeeper had a similar dog and the birds didn’t think it was a threat. The dog just ran up to the bird and pretty much snaffled it. Young farmed pheasants are ridiculously stupid creatures. Dog now stalks any bird which isn’t ideal.

Whippets are so lightning quick and mentally alert,.they will catch pheasant for fun.

 

Facts are, they are a real fecking liability where game birds and suchlike are lying up in the brash....

 

I've had some tykes that needed being put on a leader,...before they got me hung out to dry... :whistling:
